........The
science of Ayurveda which has its roots in India lost its
importance with the advent of Allopathy by the west.Ayurveda
is a sanskrit word which means "the science of life".It
includes yoga philosophy and integration of the body , mind
and consciousness.Being the fountainhead of most modern medical
system , ironically today it is often classified as a part
of alternate medicine.
........But
today Ayurveda is widely recognised because of its tremendous
healing power and philosophies. It has become more acceptable
because along with its traditional formulas , modern forms
like Capsules, Tablets, Syrup, Crystals etc.have picked up.
This method of presentation of Ayurvedic drugs is making the
drugs popular at the one hand and producing faith in science
on the other. Ayurveda is considered as the only cure for
certain diseases which otherwise has no cure.
........Ayurveda
may equally benefit a lot to the common man in everyday life
who may not be sick or diseased but may just wish to lead
a healthy life.
