Mother's Advice

..........Saloni Mouse lived with her son, Sonu in the corner of a house which was not in good condition in a village.
"Mummy, shall I go out to play?" Sonu asked his mother one day.
"Have you taken your bath? Only those mice who are neat and clean should go out to search for food or to play", said Saloni.

.........."Oh, Mummy, is it necessary to take bath?" asked Sonu lazily.
"Yes because if we remain dirty, our enemies will smell our presence and then it would become easy for them to catch us", replied Saloni.
"I am now fed up with this daily routine of taking bath everyday. I am going out to play", said Sonu mouse irritably.
"First, like a good boy, take your bath and then go out to play", said Saloni rather sharply.
Sonu's face fell. He sat down quietly. "I don't like to bathe everyday. I wonder why Mummy nags me so much. Today, I will not take my bath, come what may", thinking thus, Sonu looked at his mother who was busy cooking food.
Getting a chance, he climbed down the window. Once outside, he began to walk briskly. His nostrils flared up at the smell of food. He sneaked into the kitchen of a house.
Seeing a piece of Chapati lying on the floor, his mouth began to water. Sonu picked it up and began to nibble at it. Just then he heard somebody coming. Immediately, he hid behind a steel container.
In that house, there lived a Kajol cat as well. when she came into the kitchen, she smelled a rat. She moved towards the steel container. Sonu saw her and and then he ran away from there.
Seeing Sonu running, Kajol cat chased him. Sonu came into the adjoining room. Incidentally Rommy dog was sitting in that room. He also spotted Sonu. He too ran after him. Now the poor mouse was being followed by both the cat and the dog.
Soon, the mistress of the house also saw Sonu scampering here and there. Immediately, she picked up a broom and tried to trap him.
Somehow, Sonu managed to reach near his hole. The moment he entered, Kajol cat caught hold of his tail and pulled it.
Sonu too struggled hard to get in. There was sort of a tug-of-war going on between them. A little bit of Sonu's tail was bitten off by the cat. However, Sonu was able to come back into his hole.
He saw his mother, with tears in her eyes, standing there anxiously. Sonu also began to cry. He hugged his mother. His mother said " So you see, son, the result of not obeying me? Your tail has become short now."
"yes mother, you are right. I will never disobey you", said Sonu.
